Big Away Day Odds in Premier League on Saturday

December 28, 2017

Everton are unbeaten in eight games since Sam Allardyce took charge.

We landed three out of three Premier League bets on Boxing Day as top-flight clubs treated us to goals galore over the festive period. Spurs smashed Southampton 5-2 to get the ball rolling in the early kick-off before Bournemouth and West Ham shared the spoils in a six-goal thriller. Watford and Leicester completed the set of over 2.5 goal bets with a 2-1 Hornets victory making it a very profitable day overall.

The next round of fixtures gets underway on Saturday and a couple of away sides catch the eye at big odds. Everton are unrecognisable from the early part of the season when they were struggling in the bottom half of the table, Sam Allardyce working his magic at Goodison to propel the Toffees into the top ten. It’s eight games unbeaten since the experienced manager took charge and they have a good chance of taking three points from a trip to Bournemouth in their last fixture of 2017. The Cherries fought back with a late equalizer to draw 3-3 with West Ham on Boxing Day but their defensive frailties were on show for all to see.

Burnley were outclassed by Spurs in the 3-0 home defeat last week but led 2-0 at Old Trafford before being pegged back by a Lingard brace. The Clarets remain 7th in the table with a six-point gap to next-best Leicester and can make their presence felt when they travel to Huddersfield on Saturday afternoon. The Terriers are three without defeat after a 4-1 win at Watford and back-to-back 1-1 draws with Southampton and Stoke. They are a comfortable six points above the relegation zone but could be outshone in this particular encounter by a very good Burnley side.

Finally, Watford got back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Leicester on Boxing Day and they have the perfect opportunity to follow up with the visit of Swansea. The Welsh club are rock-bottom of the table with just 13 points from 20 games, and they were trounced 5-0 by Liverpool in the Boxing Day evening kick-off. Former Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal has taken the managerial reins at the Swans but he will have his work cut out to achieve survival this season.

Bournemouth v Everton

Everton are a decent price at odds of 3.25Bet €100 to win €3259/4Bet £100 to win £325+225Bet $100 to win $3252.25Bet HK$100 to win HK$3252.25Bet Rp100 to win Rp325-0.4444Bet RM100 to win RM325  with 888Sport to beat Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Toffees have gone eight without defeat since Sam Allardyce took charge and they look a different side from the one which laboured under Ronald Koeman earlier in the season. In typical Big Sam style, they’ve ground out back-to-back 0-0 draws with Chelsea and West Brom, but prior to that had won five of six matches. Everton have only conceded two goals in the last eight games too, and are a much better-organised side than most.

Bournemouth are still in the relegation zone and although they arrested a slide of four straight defeats with the draw against West Ham, organisation is not a word many would use to describe recent performances. The Cherries have had a tough run of fixtures (Liverpool, Chelsea and both Manchester clubs), but they gave away too much space and too many chances against the Hammers on Boxing Day. Up against a more organised and clinical side in Everton, Bournemouth may struggle.

Huddersfield v Burnley

Burnley are another side at tempting away odds of 3.50Bet €100 to win €3505/2Bet £100 to win £350+250Bet $100 to win $3502.50Bet HK$100 to win HK$3502.50Bet Rp100 to win Rp350-0.4000Bet RM100 to win RM350  with BetVictor for their visit to Huddersfield.

The Clarets are continuing to confound expectations and were just moments away from a famous victory at Old Trafford on Boxing Day. They’ve beaten the likes of Bournemouth, Southampton and Everton in recent road games, and have by far the best defence in the division outside of the top three.

The Terriers have had a solid first half to the season and look well-positioned to survive that difficult first year in the Premier League after promotion. They can look to Saturday’s opponents for the blueprint of consolidation in the division. Huddersfield broke a spell of five defeats in six with three games unbeaten – victory over Watford and draws with Southampton and Stoke – but they are coming up against a very good Burnley side here who are attractive at the odds.

Watford v Swansea

Swansea might benefit from new manager ‘bounce’ but Carlos Carvalhal may not be able to make enough of a difference in two days to get a result away at the Hornets. Watford are taken to make it two home wins in a row at odds of 1.70Bet €100 to win €1707/10Bet £100 to win £170-143Bet $100 to win $1700.70Bet HK$100 to win HK$170-1.43Bet Rp100 to win Rp1700.7000Bet RM100 to win RM170  with BetVictor.

the 2-1 home victory over Leicester ended a poor run of six without a win for Watford – five defeats and one draw. The Hornets are still holding on to a top ten position but with a modest 25 points on the board, are still only eight above the drop zone. This is a good opportunity to get three more points against a Swansea side which is the worst in the division by several parameters.

The Swans have scored the least goals of any team in the Premier League (eleven goals), and have only managed to hit the net four times in the last ten games. They’ve lost seven on the trot away from home and this match may come too quickly for any improvements under Carvalhal to be implemented.
