Dolphins, 49ers, Lions, Bengals All To Win NFL Week 13
It’s week 13 of the NFL season and the playoff picture is beginning to take shape in the AFC and NFC Conferences.
The NFC is a true battle as the class of the Conference – the Philadelphia Eagles – are running away with the one seed, leaving at least three teams to battle out for the other bye week.
The AFC looks to be determined in the top two spots other than the order of the teams in those positions. The Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots hold a comfortable lead over their rivals. The AFC West has been blown wide open by the Kansas City Chiefs collapse from 5-0 to 6-5, which could allow the Los Angeles Chargers a path into the playoffs after starting 0-4.
Week 13 presents some fascinating matches and we’ll now break down the four teams that you should have in your teaser for this round.
Detroit Lions @ Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens have capitalised on facing two sides without their starting quarterbacks to get back into the playoff race in the AFC. John Harbaugh’s men defeated the Green Bay Packers and the Houston Texans in back-to-back matches to improve to 6-5. They’re in a solid position, but the performances of their offense have not been good enough. Joe Flacco has struggled to move the ball downfield and against a team that could put up points expect their winning run to end.
Detroit are in a desperate battle to remain in the wildcard hunt in the NFC. Jim Caldwell’s side were narrowly beaten by the Vikings last time out to all but end their hopes in the NFC North. The Lions are sitting in the eighth seed, but the two sides ahead of them play the Vikings and the Eagles this week. As a result, a victory would put them back in contention.
Quarterback Matt Stafford has played well this season, although he was unable to bring his side back from the death last week. He will need an improved performance this week, but he might just be able to put enough points on the board to edge out the Ravens. Back the visitors at odds of 2.40Bet €100 to win €2407/5Bet £100 to win £240+140Bet $100 to win $2401.40Bet HK$100 to win HK$2401.40Bet Rp100 to win Rp240-0.7143Bet RM100 to win RM240 with Bet365.
San Francisco 49ers @ Chicago Bears
Supporters of the 49ers have not had a lot to cheer about over the past two seasons. However, there is hope for the future in the form of Jimmy Garoppolo. The club traded a second-round pick to acquire his services from the Patriots at the end of October.
The 26-year-old will make his first start for the team in his home state of Illinois. He flashed in brief action last week throwing his first 49ers touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks after playing the final minute. Garoppolo will get 60 minutes this time to showcase his ability and prove that he can be the franchise quarterback.
The Bears are on the road to nowhere following a run of four-straight defeats. Head coach John Fox appears to be out of ideas with his team. If their slide continues with a second three-win term on the bounce, Fox could be out of the job.
He needs his side to fire, but they were well and truly hammered by the Eagles last week. Garoppolo has the talent to pick them apart in the secondary, despite the flaws of the 49ers’ offense. Back Kyle Shanahan’s men to claim the win on the road at odds of 2.55Bet €100 to win €25531/20Bet £100 to win £255+155Bet $100 to win $2551.55Bet HK$100 to win HK$2551.55Bet Rp100 to win Rp255-0.6452Bet RM100 to win RM255 with Bet365.
Denver Broncos @ Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins were taken apart by the Patriots last week at Gillette Stadium. Tom Brady threw four touchdown passes to guide New England to a 35-17 triumph. Miami have lost five matches on the bounce, but host the Broncos – who have managed to lose their last seven games.
It’s truly a battle between two poor teams at Hard Rock Stadium. Head coach Adam Gase has knowledge on Denver’s system having served as a coach at the club for a number of years. The Dolphins were able to hit Brady in the pocket and that will serve them in a good stead against a fragile Denver offensive line.
Denver have played all three of their quarterbacks this season. Due to an injury to Paxton Lynch in their defeat to the Oakland Raiders, Trevor Siemian will get the start in Miami. The Broncos will be without All-Pro cornerback Aqib Talib due to suspension. His absence could leave their defense exposed, especially as they look far from the unit that dominated the NFL in the 2015 term.
Jay Cutler returns fro injury this week against his former club. He has been average at best for Miami this term, but playing against Denver could ignite a fire in him. Back the Dolphins to put just enough offense on the Broncos to edge out Vance Joseph’s side at odds of 2.05Bet €100 to win €20521/20Bet £100 to win £205+105Bet $100 to win $2051.05Bet HK$100 to win HK$2051.05Bet Rp100 to win Rp205-0.9524Bet RM100 to win RM205 with BetOnline.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cincinnati Bengals
These two sides are not fond of each other to say the least. In almost every game they have played over the last few seasons there has always been drama. The Bengals have had a propensity to knock out the Steelers’ best players in recent seasons, injuring Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown in 2015. Pittsburgh have a history of controversy as well in the fixture, with Carson Palmer’s injury in 2006.
Mike Tomlin’s men hold the number one seed in the AFC ahead of the Patriots. However, they’ve not been on fire of late, needing a last-second field goal to beat the Aaron Rodgers-less Green Bay Packers. Roethlisberger threw four touchdowns, but also was loose with two interceptions. The defense which has been solid this season allowed Brett Hundley to pass downfield with ease.
Cincinnati have won their last two matches and would love to harm their bitter rivals’ playoff chances with a victory on home soil. Andy Dalton has found his form over the last few weeks, throwing seven touchdowns to zero interceptions. Joe Mixon enjoyed a breakout performance on the ground against the Cleveland Browns last week. Between the duo and AJ Green – there could be enough offense to produce an upset at odds of 2.95Bet €100 to win €29539/20Bet £100 to win £295+195Bet $100 to win $2951.95Bet HK$100 to win HK$2951.95Bet Rp100 to win Rp295-0.5128Bet RM100 to win RM295 with BetOnline.
